It’s a bit of a cover saga, but there’s truly a method to my madness. For me, the first book in a series is always the hardest because it sets the tone for the rest of the series. One of my main goals with each of my stories is to portray strong women in love with alpha males. It’s an exciting dynamic. Malina, the heroine in book one, is a perfect example of the kind of character I enjoy writing most. She’s the first female model I have ever used on a cover because I always want every woman to imagine herself in my heroes’ arms; thus, the first two covers for “Calm Assurance” just had to have her standing there with an expression of resolve and strength.

My heroine in “Destiny’s Favor: Orlosian Warriors Bk.2” is just as strong despite living in a very different situation, but unlike Malina, I didn’t find a model who jumped out at me and said she was Destiny. This time, the tone for the covers in this series were actually determined by book 2, so I had to back up and redo the cover for book 1 along the same theme. I hope you like it. I’m nearly finished with book 3 in the series, “Gideon’s Light,” and I’ve started on book 4, “Rehobeth’s Passion.” So for those of you who happen to be fans of my  “Dark Sentinels” series, I know you’re wondering when I’m going to get book 3 out of my head and into a form that I can share. Please bear with me. It’s coming too 🙂
